July has arrived in Niagara, and Garden City Cannabis Co. is putting Carmel Cannabis at the centre of this month’s Patio Season Specials.
Many Ontario cannabis consumers first recognize Carmel through Animal Face. However, this July, we are turning the spotlight toward two other Carmel strains worth knowing: Sherbadough and Bubble Pop Cake.
In addition, select products from Carmel and Tuck Shop are on sale throughout the month. Garden City Cannabis Co. is also featuring TeaPot cannabis infused iced teas as the Drink of the Month, along with sale pricing on select Castle Rock Farms and BC Green products.

Carmel Cannabis has become one of Ontario’s most recognizable quality focused cannabis brands by putting careful cultivation and finishing ahead of mass production.
The Carmel team grows in small batches with lighting and nutrient programs selected for each strain. After harvest, its flower is hang dried, hand trimmed and cold cured for at least 14 days. Carmel also nitrogen flushes its whole flower pouches to help protect freshness after packaging.
Pheno hunting is another major part of the process. Rather than growing every genetic that enters the facility, Carmel evaluates potential strains for qualities such as aroma, terpene profile, potency, yield and overall flower quality. Only selected phenotypes move forward under the Carmel name.
That process helped establish Animal Face as a signature Carmel strain. This month, however, Garden City Cannabis Co. is introducing Niagara shoppers to two different sides of the Carmel lineup.
Sherbadough is an indica strain bred by Archive Seed Bank from a cross of Sunset Sherbert and Dosidos. Carmel selected its version through an in house pheno hunt.
Carmel describes Sherbadough as bright green, frosty and dense, with a bakery inspired profile built around dough, cookies and funk. Its listed dominant terpenes are caryophyllene, linalool and limonene.
The strain is produced in 3.5 gram whole flower and three pack pre-roll formats. However, formats, THC percentages and inventory can vary by store and batch, so customers should always check the current online listing and product label before ordering.

Bubble Pop Cake offers a different flavour direction while carrying the same attention to genetics and finishing.
Bred by Seed Junky Genetics and pheno hunted in house by Carmel, Bubble Pop Cake crosses Bubblegum Sherb with Cap Junky. Carmel describes its flower as candy coated, dense and marbled, with notes of gas, bubblegum and sherb.
Its listed dominant terpenes are beta myrcene, beta caryophyllene and alpha pinene. Carmel currently produces Bubble Pop Cake in 3.5 gram whole flower, 14 gram whole flower and three pack pre-roll formats, although local inventory may vary.

Sherbadough and Bubble Pop Cake may be July’s featured Carmel strains, but they are not the only products included in this month’s promotion.

TeaPot blends real tea with cannabis extracts to create drinks that are not carbonated. The wider TeaPot lineup includes several tea styles, flavours and cannabinoid amounts, giving adult consumers different options to compare.
Featured varieties include Rosin Infused Peach Black Iced Tea and Rosin Infused Lemon Black Iced Tea.
