What has changed? We have introduced significant changes into our cultivation and post-harvest process. Most notably, moving us from a wet trim and rack dry towards hang drying, dry trimming and curing.
We have worked to implement strain-specific strategies for irrigation and crop maintenance in cultivation, allowing us to produce a more vigorous crop from start to finish and a dialed in cultivar.
Lastly, we have set tighter specs for how we define Grade A flower, meaning material is sorted deeper so customers receive less small buds and less shake.
What is the impact? We are seeing a material improvement across several key metrics.
1. Moisture: Moisture has increased 2% across the lots.
2. Potency: Seeing record potency with new lots falling within the 26-29% range.
3. Bud Structure: BOG 2.0 is much more dense and less loose. Bud size is continuing to increase.
4. Aroma: An increase in terps is improving the aroma of the product.
5. Bag Appeal: The flower is showing much more crystal.
6. Bud Ratios: Less smalls and less shake.
