Niagara Cannabis Cares Food Drive Challenge | Garden City Cannabis Co.

St. Catharines, ON, Nov. 25, 2021 - Local cannabis stores put heated competition aside to come together for Community Care.

Driving through the region, it’s clear that cannabis stores have arrived, and it’s come with mixed reviews. 
“The number of stores that opened this past year is shocking, even for those of us who work in the industry.”

Some of these stores are family businesses, owned and operated by local residents and despite the confusion, they care. 
“They’re passionate people who want to be part of this industry, but also want to take some responsibility for building a positive, healthy cannabis culture in our community.” That’s why a small group of locally owned dispensaries put rivalry aside for the holidays and have come together for Niagara Canna Cares. “A friendly food drive between like-minded businesses for a very worthwhile community. Our own.”

Driving through the region, it’s also clear that Niagara is in need. Community Care provides vital services and assistance to individuals and families that meet their basic needs and help bridge their journey to self-sufficiency. Throughout the months of November and December, Garden City Cannabis Co., The Niagara Herbalist, Toke, Take Off, UpHi Emporium, Weedy Point and Paradise have challenged each other to collect the most non-perishable food donations. On January 1st, the shops consolidate their donation bins and contribute as one, under #NiagaraCannaCares.  “Working together, we have the greatest chance at making a valuable impact.”

Next time you’re planning to stop by your favourite local shop, bring along some non-perishable food items and help contribute. 
The shop with the most contributions by January 1st is crowned the #NiagaraCannaCares GRAND CHAMPION. So, choose wisely.
